Send your files to ride_man! I can edit them for you. I use N-track Studio 4 with Gold Wave 5.11. If you're interested, please PM me your e-mail address so I can add it to my address book (so my spam filters don't block you). I won't charge you; I just want to help my fellow Zoners. I can either build a track for you, or I can mix and edit it. Let me know what you want, and if I can do it, I'll do it for you.

Thanks, John, I don't have a mic and any recording stuff yet, but when I do get some, I will definitely turn to you 'cause then, I can record, have you edit, then burn the MP3 files or whatever to CD's and give 'em to people, including you, in the near future. Thanks again!

Much Love to You and God Bless,
Mel

one of the coolest experiences of my life was getting to help out in an actual recording studio, and then almost getting hired on the spot as an engineer. hee. It's so totally awesome to run boards and stuff like that. oh man. I gotta say. it's incredible. I'm a big audio geek, so to walk in to a studio just makes me druel.

Once I went into a radio studio and got to be on air and play with all the controls! It was nifty bananas!

The only time I went in a studio was the time when I was on the WKTU (103.5) morning show with Ru Paul (sp?)... (no he was not in drag) I got to talk a bit on the air and hear them do a comercial thing and then I went into another room and got to play with somne of the controls and faded one song into another and saw all the sound effect tape things (they were not casettes, I don't know what they were called... probably DATs or something like that) so yeah.

I've never been in a studio, but it sounds fun! Maybe someday,...

Post 13 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Monday, 14-Mar-2005 13:27:04

hey, hold up! well I have been trying to use cakewalk but the accesibility is the problem. I cannot get jfw to work even with the scripts. Neither sonar although these are great for midi recording and audio effects... hmmm.....

Post 14 by kev (Zone BBS Addict) on Monday, 14-Mar-2005 20:38:05

yes, a studio, ah yes! how cool that would be! but just using software to record music and that, it's fun.

Post 15 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Monday, 14-Mar-2005 23:46:11

to really get the most out of cakewalk, you really need the cake talking set of scripts. they're like 200 bucks, but anyone who's ever been around them can testify to just how awesome they are.

Lol! Well the studio I was in was the Radio Disney studio! Heh! I remember those little cassette thingies that weren't cassettes ... I don't remember what they're called either.

Post 19 by louiano (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Wednesday, 16-Mar-2005 13:22:45

jfw has them but they don't work really well. Oh, and well, paying additional 200 dollars beside the program.... well... its a pain bu whatever

Post 20 by kev (Zone BBS Addict) on Thursday, 17-Mar-2005 7:55:04

Post 21 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Sunday, 20-Mar-2005 22:29:11

lu. the average person isn't going to buy caketalking. cake talking is really more or less useful for those who are setting up a studio, buying equipment, and all that. Will you see me buying them? No. I don't need them. Will you see kevin (electricity) buying them? No, because he doesn't need them.
